48 year old Marcus Lever purchased the European Wrestling Society in early 2010 from Tony Smith. An experienced businessman, his portfolio includes several leisure spas, substantial shareholdings in well known Telecommunication and utility companies, and a brand of women’s underwear. While his wrestling expertise and experience may be limited, his drive to make the business a success cannot be questioned. His ethics have occasionally fallen under the scrutiny of the press, however.
36 year old Simon Emerald is an experienced sports executive. Having previously held positions with the NFL and NHL team the New Jersey Devils, he brings his sports business acumen to the table. Lever and Emerald were introduced by a mutual business associate in 2008, and remained in contact until Emerald was approached by Lever to help him with the EWS.
41 year old Tony Smith spent several years of his life devoted to the idea of starting his own wrestling promotion. Having failed on numerous occasions to secure the necessary funding, an offer from Lever represented an opportunity too good to turn down, and with the promise of a consultant position, Smith sold his company.
43 year old Ronan O’Shea was a prominent Irish radio host when he met Tony Smith in the mid nineties. Having stuck by Smith during the failed attempts to create his own promotion, he was the first employee to sign a contract with the European Wrestling Society, and his contract has been honoured following the purchase of the company by Lever.
Tamara Deloure is a 27 year former French television sports correspondent. Lever swooped to secure her services once her contract with her French network expired. She is known to take great pride in her work.
Anna Morales, 25, began her broadcasting career on Spanish MTV, presenting a european pop show. She was scouted by Emerald throughout 2009, and offered a contract in March 2010. She has little sports background and has stressed she will be learning on the job.
Former German lingerie model and weather girl Morgan Schieber, 27, has a degree from Cologne University in physics, and a natural television personality. She is a lifelong wrestling fan and jumped at the chance to work for EWS and Lever.
51 year old Marco Antonelli is credited with giving Tony Smith the inspiration for the European Wrestling Society. The former matchday announcer at Juventus football club, Antonelli has a big voice and a big smile.
Not much is known about Max Damage, other than he was hired by Stefanie Klinger after events on Episode #4 pushed owner Marcus Lever too far. He entrusted Klinger with cleaning up the behaviour of the EWS competitors. Her solution? Max Damage.
